The Wasteland system has a new R&D Station. This is Wasteland Station, a converted Vesuvius Super Carrier. This station plays a key role in the Wing Commander: The Wasteland Incident MOD, however it is not fully finished. I am looking for someone to texture this model, and make the necessary tweaks to place it in Our MOD. If you can help, please e-mail me a wcmdf@linkline.com

Still alive, still kicking and currently trying to teach a three headed doggie some new tricks. I have remodeled the Hades Class Quick Strike Carrier in higher detail for the Wing Commander: The Wasteland Incident MOD. The model has over three times poly count of the original; however the new ship needs new high quality textures to really shine. I am looking for someone to texture this new model. If you have been wondering what has happened, no need to worry. We’re still here. A lot of things have been happening behind the scenes. Needless to say that progress is being made.
What’s been going on in the last 5 months…
  • The first Cut Scenes are be made. Thanks to Tolwyn
  • WCWI is now using the Vega Strike engine after many improvements to the engine, and the difficulties using the Prophecy Engine. You can find more information on Vega Strike [Here]
  • Most of the ship models are either finished or being flushed out. Again thanks to Tolwyn
  • Rebuilding others site, see Vega Strike
  • Full Time job.
  • Oh and I graduate from college, and be going back for my Masters

WCWI Finally made it into the Wing Commander CIC Fan Project Database. You can find more info on it [Here]

His is a little synopsis for those who would like to know what WCWI story is about.

"Late 2681. A new war is brewing. As old enemies become new allies. Steps are taking place to insure the survival of the Confederation from the new Nephilim threat. In a backwater system, deep in Confederation space, a secret project has begun that will revolutionize the way the Confederation fights war. However not everyone believes that this is the right course. Events are taking place that could change the face of the Confederation forever. Those that lived through it simply refer to it as The Wasteland Incident."

WCWI is really staring to ramp up after a long hiatus by many of its members, including myself. Expect more updates in the coming months including some new images from the HQ models being developed for the CGI scenes.

Were Back (again). I have come to the conclusion that secrecy sucks, so much so that it seem no one know anything about the WCWI project unless you are a member. But we ARE making progress. Currently we are putting together a package of all the ships and tools that will be required for the development of the missions, if you think you can help, please contact me [here]

After the disastrous launch last September, I am pleased to announce the official reopening of the Wing Commander: The Wasteland Incident MOD. For those of you who have been wondering what Wing Commander: The Wasteland Incident (WCWI) is, WCWI is an exciting new MOD utilizing the Wing Commander Prophecy Secret Ops Engine.

At the moment the entire story arc is complete and all missions have been outlined in great detail. We are moving onto the final process of building the game, and are currently acquiring all needed models and moving them into the appropriate format(s). This new MOD will include 20 missions, a mission branch, 7 cut scenes and 3 endings, in 3 episodes. It will also feature new and modified ships, and what I hope will be a truly exciting plot.

Due to the scope and magnitude of the project we are currently looking for additional members that are able to program both mission and create and render cinematic sequences for the game. I have included a list of available positions that need to be filled. You can find more information [here]
